Interquest Marketplace has already enjoyed a successful opening, with the Hollywood Theatres movie complex that was unveiled in May 2008. The two developments, Interquest Marketplace and Colorado Crossing, will be located catty-corner from eachother at the intersection of Interquest and Voyager Parkways. The developments will also house a 38 lane Brunswick Zone that will feature bowling and laser tag, a 10-story, 306 room Renaissance Hotel, several restaurants including MacKenzie’s Chop House, a gas station, banks, an townhouse complex, and shopping galore.

According to the developers and Colorado Springs planners, residents near the growing commercial developments could see increased property values, and an increased quality of life. “Commerce Centers” usually have a positive effect onInterquest
property values,” said Fred Veitch, vice president of commercial development for Nor’wood, developers of Interquest Marketplace. “It’s a symbiotic relationship. The housing values generally go up, and you want to have the housing to support the retail demand, one goes hand and hand with the other.” Those who’s main concern is the traffic need not worry. Interference with the surrounding residential areas will be minimal because both of the centers are buffered and the main concern was traffic. “We are very cognizant of not wanting commercial traffic through residential zones,” said Bill Healy, Colorado Springs ciry planning director. Interquest Marketplace has added acceleration and deceleration lanes to Interquest Parkway and a stoplight will also help control the added traffic to the area. “The zoning has planned this area as a regional center, and we are putting in really strict design guidelines and covenants,” Veitch said. “ The city planning staff was really supportive in our efforts.”
